Egypt Top Reformers According the World Bank
According to the World Bank Organization 1( WBO) with improvement in 5 of the 10 topics studied by the Doing Business Group, Egypt became in 2006/2007 the top reformer overall all the 183 countries under study. More specifically , Egypt was the 10th top reformers in relation with the process of registering property. Following the enforcement of a new regulation which came into effect in august 2006, the overall registrations costs drop from 5,9 % to a maximum of 1 % of the property price.
Moreover the Egyptian government significantly the time and number of procedure necessary to register a property, from more than 193 days to an average of 72 days.
